Magnussen & Son Racing

It occurred to me that a great click-bait title for this would have been "K-Mag to Race for Ferrari."  ;)

Jan & Kevin Magnussen will be sharing a GT3-Pro Ferrari at the Gulf 12 Hours this weekend. It's the last race of the season for SRO's Intercontinental GT Challenge series. They'll be back together for the 24 Hours of Daytona in the MDK Racing Porsche 911 GT3R.

They have 80+ entries in 4 or 5 classes for the Daytona 24 in January.

I don't make a point of watching the endurance races, but it is fun seeing the familiar names pop up in interesting combinations.

It's got to be an interesting atmosphere for the drivers, reuniting with familiar faces, finally meeting childhood heroes, creating grudges that never had a chance to form.

(I assume the same happens with mechanics and other team personnel... which gives me an idea.  Maybe a Drive to Survive episode focusing on not the drivers?  Comparing the days of mechanics on different teams, or PR personnel trying to clear up whatever sh*t the team principles have unleashed, or even the stories of each team's chefs about what they need to prepare for the team to run smoothly.  I bet some teams have complicated menus (Aston Martin?) and some teams keep things simple (Mercedes perhaps?))
