Most expensive used cars sold in 2022.

The most expensive sale was a sealed bid sale by Mercedes or the 300 SLR Uhlenhaut Coupe. It sold for 138M Euros.

Number 2 was, what else, a Ferrari. Specifically a Ferrari 410 S Scaglietti Spyder, which Carroll Shelby once said was the best Ferrari he'd ever driven. Sotheby's sold it for 22M Euros.

So far we've had entries from Germany and Italy, now we go to France for number 3, a Talbot Lago T150C SS Figoni & Falaschi Teardrop Coupé. This has been one of my favorite classics since I saw the one Rob Walker owned. It went across the block at Goodings for 13.4M.

Last, but not least, we have number 4, a Bugatti Type 57 SC Atalante Coupe. Also sold by Goodings it fetched 10.3M

All four of them are beauties. Lonnie. Sometimes it's hard to remember that the French used to build some wonderful cars.

You've not included my 1974 Vauxhall Viva that sold for £230.

Or my Ford Anglia 105E that sold for £65 the same price I paid for it a year earlier in 1971.

Just a shame I can't even raise the price of decent enough threads to be taken seriously at those auctions.
