F1 Technology to Analyze Crowds

Apparently F1 used a new technology to analyze the 'mood of the crowd' before the Austrian Grand Prix.

The grand conclusion?  People don't like the flares.

Imagine that, folks don't want to have a hard time breathing or seeing as coloured smoke is wafted around them by rabid overly entitled morons.
I wonder how much that study cost to implement.

Probably not a lot, given that the technology's been around for a couple of years. Also, Amazon has quite a lot of commercial ideas for how to use AI analysis of people's reaction to things, so they'd be very keen to pay for this to be done.

And yes, listening to social media reaction to flares from the last couple of years would have been much cheaper. Or even paying attention to national law and bothering to enforce it properly (several countries ban flares in the context of their F1 races, including the Netherlands - due to the risk of confusing nearby shipping - and Italy - due to fire/projectile risk).
