Oscar Galvez got the track where the Argentinian Grand Prix was hosted named after him a few months before his death. The Juan Manuel Fangio museum in Balcarce has had a track named after the five-time champion since its inception in 1986 (which was three years before the Argentian Grand Prix got its rename). It seems Argentina's quite happy to name tracks after living racing drivers, even if other countries are not. Furthermore, there were at one point two tracks named after Nelson Piquet Sr. This included an Autódromo Internacional Nelson Piquet in Brazil, making the three-time world champion the only known living F1 driver to have seen the F1 circuit named after him demolished. Come to think of it, that's not quite the same ego boost as might have been envisaged...
Maybe if Max wants to see the track he will be named after, he might consider getting dual nationality with a South American country?
