The only one I like is no sprints at all!
Once you have retired every day is a Saturday!

I'd like to see the 'alternate driver' version.

Test drivers, reserve drivers, 'ringer' drivers, whatever.  Just someone who's not part of the driver's championship race on Sunday.  It makes the race interesting for race fans, but you're not missing anything important if you skip it.  It also provides a better pipeline of talent.  I think the last few years we've seen some great drivers without a chance to shine, and some not as great drivers who never got a chance to prove they don't belong in an F1 race before entering an F1 race.

I'd like to see the Sprint's gone. The results don't
mean anything to most fans

I'd like the Sprints gone too, I mostly forget to get my pole pick in for GG even though I know it closes early.   :-[
My only excuse is my advancing years.  :fool:

However if we must have Sprint weekends then the format needs a bigger change than any listed in the article, how about this?:-.

Friday:- session 1 - Free practice.
session 2 - becomes Sprint Quali.

Saturday:- Session 1 - Sprint Race.
Session 2 - Qualifying for GP.
(Advantage of this is Parc Ferme can be taken off one hour after Sprint race - should be enough for post race checks - and put back on again at start of GP Quali, allowing changes to be made by teams).

Sunday:- GP race proper

I find the pre-Sprint format much more interesting than the Sprint format because the Sprint format takes most of the mystery out of the race.

All of the Pitpass-proposed alternatives have the same issue, as far as I can see, so I am also against these.

Maybe remove/relax parc-ferme rules?  I assume the teams are given a time allotment to 'refresh' the cars after the sprint to make sure it's race worthy.  Give them an extra hour, and let the teams change the cars up?
