Wow....short memory indeed.
I don't hear much from other drivers/teams, who've enjoyed zero success during the Mercedes/Red Bull domination, whinging about the FIA changing the rules. They just see it as a spur to catch up.

Lewis's domination was never on the scale of Verstappen's in 2022, much less 2023.  I'd have loved to see Red Bull win every single race in 2023.  That would have provided stakes for the end of the season, to see if Red Bull really could do that.  Losing in Singapore really took the season down a few notches from 'historic'.

Sure, Mercedes had the best car for 8 straight years, but very few races were a guaranteed Hamilton win over that time.  (True, he was the odds on favourite)

He's not wrong that the one two punch of Drive to Survive and an epic 2021 showdown brought in a lot of casual fans that are at risk of not having much to watch.  I think the TV coverage has done an excellent job of covering the fights down field, including Hamilton himself.  It might be less exciting when Max runs away with the championship, but I do feel invested in the whole pecking order this year, which I rarely do.

Jeri, and Lewis, are right although the Mercedes was dominant there was still some brilliant close racing and no guarantee that LH or whoever was his team mate was going to win.
I have friends who are bored with the one sided F1 we currently have and are drifting away from it.
I run my own F1 game for friends and next season it may not happen for the first time in around ten years.
