Montoya Put on Probation
« on: April 27, 2007, 03:33:37 PM »
NASCAR has fined Juan Pablo Montoya $10,000 and placed him on probation until Dec. 31 for giving another driver the finger during practice for last week-end's Busch series race at Phoenix. He was on a live in-car camera at the time. According to NASCAR. Montoya was in violation of Section 12-4-A (actions detrimental to stock car racing) of the NASCAR Busch Series rule book.

The Busch Series is sort of the NASCAR version of GP2, except that the Cup drivers compete in it on a regular basis. They are refered to as "Busch-Wackers."

I've noticed that the official NASCAR site, NASCAR.com, always refers to him as Juan Montoya instead of Juan Pablo Montoya. No idea why.
