A man in the US is counting his lucky stars after he escaped with just a concussion when a truck ran over his head.
Ryan Lipscomb admits that he was shaken up by the incident and described the moment the truck passed over his head as "really strange".
He had been happily cycling along when he approached an intersection and began to cross it as a green light was telling him it was safe to do so.
However, the 26-year-old noticed a truck to one side of him which was preparing to turn and slammed on his brakes as he realised that the driver was not going to stop.
Unfortunately, the force at which his brakes brought him to a stop propelled Lipscomb from his bike and into the path of the oncoming vehicle.
"I didn't see it [the truck] coming, but I sure felt it roll over my head," he told the Associated Press. "It feels really strange to have a truck run over your head."
Miraculously, Lipscomb survived the incident with his helmet taking the brunt of the force.
The headgear was almost completely flattened and had tread marks on it which show where the truck's wheels went over him.
