Over three years after leaving the F1 stage, Netherland's Jos Verstappen may be on his way back to the sport with news that Dutch team Spyker may give him an outing on the Friday of September's Belgian Grand Prix, the closest thing Dutch F1 fans come to a home race. The rumour has also jumped journolists to ask if the move could spell the beginning of the end for Albers' race seat, a situation which Spyker insist will not transpire.

Also making the news with rumours over its line-up, Toro Rosso could be on the verge of replacing American Scott Speed with Red Bull-sponsored BMW tester Sebastian Vettel as early as the French Grand Prix in Magny-Cours. Toro Rosso have stated, however, that plans to oust the California-born driver after his home race, are untrue.

Another person possibly making a move from F1 is Ferrari's Chief Aerodynamicist John Iley. Two junior aerodynamicists are already on their way from Ferrari to McLaren, with Briton Iley thought to be eyeing a job at Spyker, a closer-to-home UK-based team. Ferrari Technical Director Mario Almondo has rejected the rumours.

Finally this week to the latest FIA bombshell dropped on F1 recently, that being President Max Mosley's wishes to introduce V6 engines into the sport for 2011. The engines, with a capacity of 2.2 litre, would be turbo-charged, and run on bio-fuel, albeit with a 10,000 rpm limit, almost half the limit of 19,000 rpm in force today. Also mentioned in a letter sent to manufacturers was the introduction of a four-wheel drive formula and power-boost buttons. Rumours also suggest that Ford and Volkswagen may be interested in breaking into the sport in the future.
