Women might think that they are better drivers than men but their children don't agree.
New research shows that children feel safer when their dad is behind the wheel than when their mum is driving them.
Although this is a good boost for all those male egos out there, the research actually paints a pretty grim picture about the driving abilities of both mum and dad.
Privilege Insurance asked children if they feel safe when mum is behind the wheel, with 47 per cent saying that they do not.
The same question was asked about when dad is driving and only 39 per cent said that they feel unsafe then. This means men win the battle of the sexes by default.
When it comes to what is wrong with each driver, kids said that mum's worst habit was parking badly, while dad tended to drive too fast.
"With almost one in 20 children scared by their parents' driving, grown-ups need to drive even more carefully and follow the rules of the road," said Jennifer Culley from Privilege.
"Driving safely will help to put children's minds at ease, as well as demonstrating how they should drive in the future."
