Sponsor joins Williams for Monaco
« on: May 24, 2007, 03:20:00 PM »
Mappin & Webb, the Silversmiths to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and His Royal Highness, Prince Charles, the Prince of Wales, today confirmed that they will be joining the AT&T Williams team as a sponsor for the Monaco Grand Prix this weekend.

The royal silversmiths will join the team for the season's blue ribbon event and the Mappin & Webb identity will feature prominently on the team's race cars in the rear facing, rear wing position for one of the world's most glamorous social and sporting events.

Mappin & Webb, together with Watches of Switzerland, was acquired by Goldsmiths Plc and joint investor Baugur in November 2005. Two new flagship stores have recently been opened in central London and these, combined with the successful tendering for Terminal 5 opening in 2008, represents the renaissance of the Mappin & Webb name in the UK.
