Parquet for your Pinto
« on: June 06, 2007, 06:09:05 PM »
This is an idea you will either love or hate, no middle ground.

Austrian tuner company Königseder announced it has perfected aftermarket parquet floors for your car. Yeah: Now you can have real wooden mats for the inside of your car.

Obvious fans of Morgans and stage coaches, Königseder officials have applied for a patent that prevents the wood floors from moisture expansion (I thought that was called polyurethane). Apparently this idea is so revolutionary that according to the Königseder press release, Europe’s largest car magazine bestowed its vaunted “pimp of the week” award on the veneer flooring.

Company officials say prices start at $1,350 for the package. I figure you could get out of Home Depot for $32.50, tops.

Just the thing to pimp out your Family Truckster, or to cover that rusted out floor in you Corolla.
