Another brilliant video.  The D-type was one of the most beautiful cars ever made with the performance to match its wonderful looks.  Never mind the E-type, the D was the real thing!

Thanks again, Stig.

Great, Stig. Thanks. Still one of the most beautiful pieces of automotive sculpture ever, and the first love of most of our generation of gearheads. :good:

Outstanding vid there Stig, I am not much of a fan of the old......I like new electronic things...but that vid ACTUALLY got me to appreciate the sheer beauty and class of that wonderful D-Type Jag....

I am pleased you all liked it.
I was in charge of exhibiting these fine specimens at the factory.Works visits were a nightmare.School outings were the worse, anything that was not tied down was taken,i remember a lad trying to get the rev counter out of a carto take back for his dad.The cups and medals were kept in a locked  display case, and was open game for the kids.
I remember always having to send out the cups and  some of the medals, to be cleaned on a regular basis as they tarnished very quickley being silver.

The D Type IS one of the most beautiful cars ever made without a doubt. I love I love them and after you've seen one in the metal you wonder what all the fuss the E Type gets is all about.
I also never really understood why the C Type was so revered until I saw one. Pictures just don't do these vehicles any favours whatsoever.

Oh no RedFive, I admit the D Type is beautiful, but so also is the E Type(soft top) beautiful too, one of my all time most wanted cars

Nice one Stig, best E type(cabriolet) I saw was many years ago, it was primrose yellow, Clarkson would say "thats a bit ginger beer ", but it looked absolutely wonderful.
