Car maker Aston Martin has been named the UK's coolest brand in a recent survey.
Research by CoolBrands discovered that the automotive firm had taken top spot in public opinion as being the coolest brand - for the second year running.
Stephen Cheliotis, chairman of the CoolBrands Council for 2008, said that the results reflected society's changing wants, interests and needs.
"On the one hand, things can become cool by virtue of their necessity or prevalence in your life. On the other, the things you really want, but may know you'll never get - like a Rolex; or a Ferrari - are considered just as cool."
Meanwhile, Aston Martin chief executive officer Dr Ulrich Bez said that being voted into first place for two years on the trot was proof that the firm was continuing to consistently grow.
Car maker Ferrari was placed 11th in the running while Lamborghini took 17th place. Motorbike firm Ducati came 12th.
