Thanks for those Dare.  I have seen some of the on board Oulton Park footage on another clip before but that is the first time I have seen both those clips.

For those who are too young to remember, too old to be capable of remembering or too foreign to have ever known 59/6 is the price.  59 shillings and 6 old pence which equates to £2.97 and a half pence.  If that is from a time when he was racing that is an awful lot of money for a pair of gloves.

Unbelievable! What a driver!

I got this shirt at Indy. It is one of the most popular items there. The caption reads:

“From F1 cars at Nurburgring, a Lotus Cortina a t the Snetterton Saloons to the Rest and Be Thankful Hillclimb in his TR3, Jim was always threatening for the win. His record speaks for itself. Only competing at the Brickyard for five years, Mr. Clark amassed 3 top two finishes highlighted by an outright win in 1965, making the victory the first rear engined car to capture the Memorial Day Classic.”

Needless to say, it’s one of my favorites.
