2008 Mustang Bullitt

Believe it or not, next year will be the 40th anniv. of the movie that change car flix forever - Bullitt. In honor of this, Ford is bringing back the Mustang Bullitt.

It will even have the black grille without the Mustang logo, but with the brushed stainless surround. And, they made sure that it has the distinctive exhaust growl of the original. Turn up the volume before going to this link:

Mustang is one of the few Ford models I've never had. This one could tempt me.

You know, I had the same reaction.  I haven't been much of a Mustang fan for the last, oh, 35 years or so, but I was really moved by the pix I saw of the new Bullitt.  Something about that combination of color and serious purpose in its appearance.
