The shoe is taped in an odd place to get pedal adhesion. My guess is it is to protect the shoe where the steering column may rub against it.

Don't look now, JB, but the fact that we recognize all of them shows our age.

Great find, Dare! I think that is Innis Ireland and not Richie Ginther.

I do like JYS with the glasses, though!
