This above link is to a video of the first lap of the 1975 German GP on the Nurburgring.  Most of the lap unsurprisingly is filmed from a helicopter so there are no close up shots of car flying and squirming around on landing but it gives a good idea of the scale and challenge of the track.

Great Vid Steven, was it Jody or Depaillier keeping Lauda honest on that lap.

I think it must have been Jody because he crashed out later in the race and the Tyrell was being pushed mighty hard. I'm pretty sure Lauda didn't win perhaps this was the result of the pressure to push the tyres too hard in the early laps.

Thanks Dare, it was Depaillier starting from 4th, Sheckter started from 3rd on the grid and fell back.  :good:
