1997 world champion Jacques Villeneuve has split with long term manager Craig Pollock.  There is no truth in the rumour that they split over musical differences.

It's about time!!  What sort of qualifications does a ski instructor have to be a manager?  The guy was a leach, with very bad advice for most of JV's F1 career.

What qualifications do most driver managers have?  Willi Weber ran an F3 team, Steve Robertson was a failed racing driver and Anthony Hamilton had no inside knowledge and no business experience.

Weber - F3 team = racing experience
Robertson - failed racing driver = racing experience
Hamilton - father of Lewis = natural driver manager (no experience, but certainly qualified)
Todt - Dad is (was) Team Principal, grew up surrounded by racing, tons of contacts = racing experience
Pollock - ski instructor who lucked out by getting assigned to teenage JV and dug in his claws.
