Lunar Eclipse
« on: February 18, 2008, 05:05:35 PM »
Claw_Grrrl sent me this.

There will be a total lunar eclipse this Wednesday, 20 February. It will be the last total lunar eclipse over North America until December of 2010.

Like to see this too, but I'm afraid I won't be up at around 3am to see it.  :'(

This was 10:03 EDT, 3:03 GMT. I thought about putting these up on a thread named "Cos Shoots The Moon," but thought better of it. ;)

This was when it was full, at 10:29 (3:29). In case you were wondering, I didn't stay outside for the entire time. I was watching it out the window with the 20D on a tripod by the back door. Run out the door, aim, shoot a few, grab the rig and run back inside!

I'm not sure if this will show up when I shink the pix to fit the site. Saturn was right next to the moon during the eclipes. Look for a small circle in the lower left of the pix.
