Today's Super Aguri Rumor
« on: March 04, 2008, 04:26:04 PM »
From several sources (F1SA.com, f1-live.com and a few others:

Quote
The financially embattled formula one team Super Aguri F1 has been saved by a mystery investor, reports on Tuesday said.

The German specialist magazine Auto Motor und Sport is claiming that the Honda backed outfit, run by former Japanese grand prix driver Aguri Suzuki, will make the trip to Melbourne for next weekend's season opener after reaching a deal with the rumoured buyer.

The publication said the deal, believed to be headed by a British company and a Middle Eastern sponsor, and possibly some German involvement, could be confirmed this week.

They also say that Aguri Suzuki will remain at the helm of the team, that Sato will be there through 2009 and that Davidson will keep his seat this season.

The car is reported to be a hybrid of last season's Honda RA 107 with this year's RA 108 rear section grafted onto it.

Why would anyone want any part of
last years Honda>It was truly a dog

Steady on Dare I'd love the whole thing or even just a chunk of last years Honda!........ but maybe not as part of car I intend to race.

Still lets hope SA's now got the money they need to race this season, wouldn't be the same without them there to give the main Honda team a fright or two.
