New Silverstone
« on: March 09, 2008, 11:17:26 AM »
The first images of the proposed new pit and paddock at Silverstone, home of the British GP, have been unveiled by the British Racing Drivers' Club.
The new facilities include garages, a media centre and a VIP area.

The plan, from Wembley Stadium architects HOK, is the first part of a 10-year overhaul.

BRDC president and former world champion Damon Hill said: "In order to retain the British Grand Prix we need a venue of this kind of stature."

"No Matter how little money and how few possessions, you own, having a dog makes you rich."

It's such a pity that Australia has absolutely nothing that it can do to retain the race.  My boss has told me to save some money because I HAVE to go and see it in Melbourne.

I am glad that the Silverstone race has a chance and a plan to continue their high quality race.

Stupid Bernie. Australia doesn't deserve to lose its race, especially when it's only losing it because Bernie wishes to underline a fundamental error in his business model (well, two - lack of respect for tradition and lack of logic in deciding what will make money).

Good luck with saving up the money. And to be honest, the only thing that will really save Silverstone is paying a huge amount of money (since we've been double-billed for the 2004-2009 races, I don't see why that should be the case).
