Hamilton promised $4m supercar with title
« on: March 27, 2008, 09:24:30 AM »
Lewis Hamilton has been promised a $4 million McLaren supercar for free - if he wins the world titles this year.

The 23-year-old British driver told The Sun newspaper that he first clapped eyes on the ultra-rare McLaren LM in the team's F1 factory ten years ago.

"When I first went to McLaren it was there and I fell in love with it," he said of the orange LM, one of only five such cars in the world.

Dennis, 60, says Hamilton can have the car if he wins the 2008 title, and McLaren is crowned constructors' champion.

"Fortunately, our deal gives me a bit of time to save up!" Dennis joked.

Ron was quoted on this last year but at that time the deal was that Lewis had to win 2 out of the next 3 championships.  Maybe Ron is getting soft in his old age.

It is a prize worth going after though.I only hope it does not make him push hard and take risks to get his hands on it.

F1 Racing still says that Lewis would have to win both of the next two championships to get the McLaren F1 LM, so maybe Ron isn't going soft after all...

If Alonso records a win this year will he get
a souped up Clio

Perhaps he will get one of those Renault Trophy Alonsos that they made last time he was there...

I think Ron offered Ferd an old Dauphine. :D
