Not a clue.  The colour would suggest McLaren and the aero would suggest 1969ish but I don't think I have ever seen it before.  The nose is very distinctive so I am sure I would remember it.

I don't know either, Dare. It looks like there's an emblem of sme sort just ahead of the number on the nose. It also looks like there might be a Mexicn flag on the rear spoiler, but it's hard to tell from that pix.

Dare, if you go to page 11 of members pics there ia poster of Barcelona 1970 with a yellow car that is similar. I also googled 1970 F1 cars and Steven is right it could be a McLaren

It's the 1969 Serenissima Formula 1 effort. The car never raced in F1 races, only a couple of hill climbs IIRC. The engine is a development of the 1966 Serenissima engine that McLaren used in '66 because the Ford was undergoing further development. The engine was used in Sportscars but I forgot the exact details

I was never aware of this car, anyone else heard of it?
Beautiful car though

I have heard Serenissima used in motor racing but I couldn't have told you where.  It could have been a team, a circuit or even Formula Serenissima.   Apparently it was a team called Scuderia Serenissima.  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scuderia_Serenissima
