Have you contacted the police?

If you have the registration number they should be able to do something.

Yes i have a nice young police officer came and took down my details earlier  >:D >:D :yahoo:

The only problem i have is he was suppose to be ringing me tonight with his insurance details but he hasn't, and if i don't get his policy number i'm gonna have to pay £220 excess to my insurance before they sort my car out.

I don't think you will find a website with registration numbers.  It would be a breach of the data protection act for the DVLA to put that info on the web.

Sorry to hear about you accident Shell.

Type the reg into an insurance website as if you are asking for a quotation, most of them know your vehicle simply by entering the reg. Failing that, try typing it into the congestion charge site at www.cclondon.com I'm pretty sure this does the same thing.

Hope this helps.

thanks wiz but got it done now and he is insured just need his details from him now,

I tried the insurance sites for a quote and it didn't know the car from the registration but got a good site from someone, it doesn't give you details but it will tell you if the cars insured  :D

Gonna ring fella in a minute to try and get some details from him, ex hubby said if he doesn't report it to his insurer i'll have to pay excess and claim off my insurance instead is that right?

Your ex is right Shell. I have had that problem in the past.  The guy told his insurance company that he was in an accident but point blank refused to fill in the forms and sign.  It was a long time ago and I can't really remember how it ended I just remember the whole thing was a bit of a nightmare.

Enjoy the courtesy car :)

Oh! don't start me off, company rung me this morning, curtesy car will be with you sometime today before 5, great or so i thought. Waited in till 5 guess what no car!!! Rung then asked why? no record of me getting one, so rung RAC who i'm insured with, apparently i'm not entitled to one, so would it have hurt for someone to ring me and let me know not to sit in and wait for nothing?? Why did they say i was gonna get one to start with??? and to top it off i'm now gonna have to do without a car cos some T**t crashed into me.

Doesn't seem right somehow  :'( :( :'( :(
