I hope he returns to Indy...he has plenty of years left.  And who wants a schedule like NASCAR anyway?  Far more free time with Indy Cars.

I can't understand how someone who was schooled by Jackie Stewart can get himself into a position where he makes such a huge change without proper funding in place.

Being 41st in the points was the final blow. Only the top 35 teams are assured of a start. That leaves only 8 starting slots per race, and any Past Champions can who aren't in the field can claim some of those. Not having a secure starting slt makes it much, much harder to get sponsors.

he defiantly made a mistake by leaving indycars he was brilliant there but he is not doing so well now in NASCAR

I have to wonder if he would have made the jump if he'd have known about the impending reunification with Champ Car. Of course, the money in NASCAR is much, much better.
