British GP heros and zeros

heros

Hamilton-give the devil his due,ran away from the field

Heidfeld-nice run up the field for 2nd

Barrichello-what can I say,3rd in a Honda,nice to see
                Ruebens on the podium

honorable mention

Trulli-getting the Toyota in the points dispite
        a horrible Fri and Sat

Zeros

Kovalainen-blew his first pole position and my gg pick

Webber-ditto,doesn't help to qualify 2nd if you can't keep
            from spinning more than once

Button-just being Button and being showed up by Ruebens

Heroes
Hamilton - won by a minute easily - lapped his team mate and everyone else not on the podium including all his championship rivals.

Heidfeld - showed that Kubica is not going to blow him away

Barrichello - Awesome on the extreme wets - beat a stack of drivers with better equipment

Zeros

Massa - 5 or 6 spins

Ferrari / Raikkonen - for the decision not to change tyres

Anyone of another half dozen drivers who were shown up by their team mate.

heros

Hamilton- hate to admit it but he drove a superb race to win by more than a minute
Barrichello- brilliant drive to take third (maybe a win if it didn't stop raining and he didn't have to come in again)
Heidfeld- good drive to take third

zeros
Ferrari- they were stupid for not bringing in Raikkonen and changing tyres
Webber- threw away the start by spinning then there were brief moments when he was faster than everybody else
Massa- he spun so many times he should have just parked it and got out

Hero's

Hamilton - a real Senna drive, love him or hate him, the boy got the job done - in style.

Heidfeld - great drive, overtaking two cars at a time - twice!

Zeros

Ferrari - an unusual mistake from them, Kimi could have won if it wasn't for his team!

Kovalainen - blew his chance, the mans in a McLaren, he should have had a podium by now and today was his best chance.

Kimi showed  class by not blaming anyone
on the tire mistake,he said sometimes the
teams get their decisions right and sometimes
they don't.

Have to agree with ou on Heikki,Ferrari drivers
have both won races while only Lewis has
at Merc. He'd better up his performance

Heros

Lewis - for pulling it off
Ross Brawn (I guess) - for pulling it off
Nick - for fun racing to the podium!

Honourable mention - although it didn't work out in the end, Webber drove a great run from last before it fell apart in the heavy rain.

Zeros

Massa - lucky he didn't hit or worse yet, get hit.  6 or 7?  No way, my son and I counted at least 8 spins.  He should have considered parking it by half-way.
Heikki - gotta work on that defence.
Kubica - oops.
Massa - I just felt like mentioning him again.

Button-just being Button and being showed up by Ruebens
Hey Dare that's one of my favourite drivers you are talking about. I spend a lot of my time finding excuses for him but he had overtaken Ruebens on the track, it wasn't his fault he ended up queuing behind Ruebens in the pits and his departure was a car failure so surely not a zero.

Lewis and Nick were brilliant but Kovalainen really let himself down and Ferrari were all at sea!

I have just read that Honda found nothing wrong with Jensens car and it seems he just aquaplaned off. There goes another excuse. However, just before crashing he was the fastest man on the track. I'm sure Murray Walker could have come up with some great words.....and Jensen Button is the fastest man that used to be on the track....

I'd like to give mention to Rosberg as a zero for again being beaten by Nakajima and for again losing a front wing.  The boy seems to not be able to read what is going on in front of him lately.

Heroes:

Hamilton: He lived up to the hype and owned the race, in bad, changing conditions.

Rubens: The ol' boy proved he's still got it, even in a bad car.

BRDC: For putting on another classic race.

Honorable Mention:

DC: For publicly stating that the lap 1 shunt wih Vettel was his fault, and going down to the STR pit to apologize to him and the team.

Hare: That poor rabbit that Massa almost nailed at the end of one of his spins!

Losses:

Massa: He's off being treated for dizziness after spending so much time spinning.

Webber: Blew the best chance he ever had.

Bernie: Ruining an otherwise great week-end by his poorly timed announcement

Looks like I missed a b fine race!

I decided to watch roger FEDERER and rafael NADAL [at a friend's house he has a wide screen plasma HD TV and decent reception!] contest the Wimbledon tennis final and that meant I did not see the GP.

Impressive win by LH by all accounts but where did RB come from? B amazing or is that saying something else about the lack of driving skill of the others as most of them are in far better cars?

I must read about the race as what happened to the FERRARI boys as I see FERRARI have apologised to FM and KR was given the 'wrong' tyres at one point.

Hey SM, Ferrari apologizing to Massa is just spin.  Massa should just stay at home next time it rains.

Hey SM, Ferrari apologizing to Massa is just spin.  Massa should just stay at home next time it rains.

yeah and thanks SD - looks like that could apply to most of 'em.

how else do you explain RB getting third in a pig of a HONDA? Perhaps ross BRAWN making a difference already and Rubens' mastery in the wet although I see RB insisted on extreme wets at the right time.

good on LH - from what I have read his driving was very impressive, reminds me of ayrton SENNA's wet driving mastery
