Hill and Stewart honoured at the Glen

Sir Jackie Stewart and the late Graham Hill were honoured for their efforts in the United States Grand Prix at Watkins Glen, in an event held before today's IRL IndyCar Series race at the track.

Stewart and Bette Hill, Graham Hill's widow, accepted awards for Driver of the Decade and induction into the Legends of the Glen, the track's hall of fame, by way of videotaped messages.

Hill won the race three consecutive times, from 1963 to 1965. He was killed in a plane crash in 1975.

Stewart won the race twice. He withdrew from the 1973 race and retired from racing when his teammate, Francois Cevert, was killed in a crash during practice.
