Michael Schumacher did NOT crash Ferrari 430 Scuderia (with video)
We told you yesterday that Michael Schumacher crashed a 430 Scuderia proto (not pictured above) whilst testing at the Nurburgring. Looks like we were wrong.

Ferrari has come out and denied Schumi’s involvement in the incident. Ferrari spokesman Luca Colajanni claimed that Schumi was in the passenger seat, and that it was test driver Raffaele de Simone at the wheel.

However, Bild newspaper reports that eyewitnesses saw Schumacher in the driving seat. Could this be a Ferrari cover-up, with de Simone cast as the fall guy? Unless de Simone or Schumi tells the truth, we may never know who was at the wheel.

Either way, we’ve tracked down a video of Schumacher testing the 430 Scud. You can watch it after the jump…

Schumacher's spokesman is admitting to this one.  Bet he wishes now he was admitting to crashing a Ferrari on the 'Ring.

MICHAEL SCHUMACHER CRASHES FIAT VAN INTO GARAGE DOOR

Michael Schumacher was involved in a road accident in England on Sunday, after attending the Silverstone Classic event. He was on his way to Lydd Airport in Kent at the wheel of a Fiat van (odd, but true) when he rounded a corner in Lydd-on-Sea and collided with a garage door, while overtaking another car. The door was in the process of being closed by Martin Kingham. He was knocked over in the impact and landed on the bonnet of a car parked nearby. According to Kingham, Schumacher then abused him for being in the road.

"He seemed cross, as if I was in the wrong," he said. "I called the police."

The police gave the German a breathalyser test to see if he had been drinking. The two men then exchanged insurance details and Schumacher went on his way.

Schumacher's spokesman confirmed the incident.

Poor Martin. Hope he didn't get too many injuries off the van.

You would have thought Michael Schumacher would have known better, but there you go.
