IndyCar has released its schedule for the 2009 season. 18 of the 19 races this year return. A street race in Toronto replaces the oval at Nashville. Several of the races change dates. Homestead moves from the first race of the season to the last. Mid Ohio moves back three weeks, and Detroit & Chicago swap week-ends.
The fate of the race in Australia has not been determined. League officials said Wednesday that the series will stage a non-points race on the streets of Surfers Paradise on Oct. 26. But as of now Australia is not on the 2009 calendar.
The breakdown is 10 oval tracks and eight street/road courses.
