Note the lack of barriers and safety equipment. But more startling is Bandini's attitude, which was shared by many drivers, Racing Drivers Die. It was that attitude and the death of Clark in an F2 race (imagine an F1 driver also driving in GP2!) that sparked Stewart to push so hard for more safety.
