Kimi on the Massa pass
« on: October 19, 2008, 04:16:10 PM »
A little different than Massa's version
of the pass

Felipe passing me? I am part of a team and I am well aware what they expect of me. I am out of the title fight and have to do the maximum because Ferrari can achieve both its objectives. It's a simple as that."

Like the fellow who replaced Bob Varsha on Speed last night said, "Teams have done it since F1 started in 1950. They aren't about to stop now."

Does Massa seriously believe Kimi didn't let him through, but he did it all through his brilliance ?

From Kimi (F1 Live)

"For Felipe and Ferrari, it would be nice if he wins the title," he told the German broadcaster RTL. "But quite honestly, it makes no difference to me who wins," Raikkonen admitted.

Yeah if you ask me Kimi would prefere it if Lewis won cos then he'd still be the top driver for ferarri. Playing second fiddle to Massa next year would be to much for him.

Ferrari have always favoured Massa, and Kimi knows it. But then they are Italian, and that's accepted as fair behaviour in Italy.

Well, Massa is Schumie's fair haired boy and protege, isn't he?
Kimi has little to do with Michael and his input so Massa will be the one they want to promote.
Whatever Michael says.....

But if Massa thinks he truly passed Kimi without Kimi allowing it, he's delusional.

I'm not too sure Massa and Michael are
that close of friends.I remember a picture
of them once eating lunch at separate tables
ignoring each other

Another thing when Kimi came to Ferrari if
MS would have been guarateed #1 status
Massa wouldn't be there and MS would have
2 more titles, say what you will about Schumi he
doesn't choke

I don't think Ferrari has ever viewed Massa as much more than the rear-gunner, even if he has beaten Kimi this year (not entirely Kimi's fault, don't forget).  Micheal latched onto Massa because he was an obedient #2 and because Michael really didn't like the idea to bring Kimi to Ferrari (but was over-ruled by Luca).  Perhaps Michael would like to see Massa beat Kimi, but Massa is little more than a lapdog to Michael.   I think the fact that Kimi's contract is worth about 4x what Massa's is, says it all.

I think it is a real shame that Massa has been changed by his involvement with Ferrari.
He used to be one of the honest, nice guys in the sport. Now he is full of sh*t. Every problem is someone else's fault. I would have far more respect for him if he came clean and said 'It was our fault and the release was unsafe, I'm very sorry' or 'the red mist got the better of me and I punted Hamilton off' or 'I needed to get past Bourdais and it was a racing incident' and of course 'I'm really grateful to Kimi for letting me through'

As badly as Ferd wants to go to Ferrari, I wonder how he'd like being in Kimi's racing boots right now. No way in the world he'd handle it in the sportsmanlike manor that Kimi is.
