Finding a Treasure
« on: October 21, 2008, 01:39:31 PM »
It's almost impossible to find F1 goodies in the United States, especially in a small town like here in Lancaster. That's what makes this all the more amazing.

I was walking through a local hardware store yesterday when something caught my eye. There, in a bin of picture frames, was a framed, matted photo of Michael Schumacher and David Coultard! It was easy to spot, since it's 4 feet by 2 1/2 feet!

The picture appears to be from the 2001 season, but I can't say which race. The Marlboro logos on Schumi's helmet & car narrow it down a bit.

The price for all of this? $10! It even has a small, plastic bag of wall hangers taped to the back.

To give you an idea of the size, that's the front of my Ford Taurus behind it in the picture! Sorry about the sun glare off of the glass. Now I have to find enough wall space in my home that doesn't already have F1 stuff on it!

I have no idea which circuit it is but I think I can narrow it down a bit.

Look at the rear wings.  Schumacher's is very flat but DC's looks like a bulldozer blade so it is somewhere that you can run different aero set ups and still be competitive.  So somewhere without a very long straight and an interesting mix of corners.

Super find Cos, I'm jealous as hell.  :good:
