I think that Fernando running comfortably between the Ferraris and ahead of the McLarens in Brazil Shows Renault had gotten to a nearly equal position with the best teams. You can't do any better than that.

STR, for going from (almost) worst to first. I wonder how hard Vettel is lobbying to stay there.

BMW jumped way up from last year, too. I look for them to contend next season.

Seb V should be on the blower to Christian non-stop - 'Don't make me go to the 'Snowden Buggy for geriatric Aussies' home. The Ferrari engine just looks to be a better bet than the Renault.

(Read in Little Britain Lou style) I thought it wath the theason long chassis preparation to achieve optimum rath set up rather than engine improvement

That's how I read it as well, if you pardon the pun, Pat's team rather than the engine builders are responsible for the extra legs on the Renault.

It looks good for next year's car as well since the Renault engine team have now got the green light to make improvements along with a couple of other teams.
