It grieves me to say it, but, if GP2 was put into tv competition with F1 I'm afraid quite a few people would turn to that.

Slim chance of that as Bernie holds the TV rights to, if not the whole GP2 series. Which is why a while back when Max and Bernie were not best of buddies Max proposed a new feeder series for F1 be introduced by the FIA. All that seems to have melted into the background now.

I think F1 is in a better state than other motorsports.  WRC where are they...2 teams pulled out this year that just leaves ford and ford lol.  The btcc Seat has pulled out which just leaves Vauxhall and honda as the main manufacturing teams.  The independant teams seam to change every year so u can't keep up with it.

Formula 1 will survive...but it will change

It's not nice seeing good teams disappear I'm talking about Tyrrell, Jordan and Lutos here not Honda.  Its the get back the basics thinking is required.  They should be more independant teams.  I spport Alonso because he's a good driver but the team that i support is Williams this is because he's loves the sport.  Wiliams wont go...Toyota will might be here next year but 2010 i think not, they've been nowhere.

forgot to mention  champcar racing and indycar racing... they were in turmoil for years.  You never know Formula 1 might go like the banking system  of HBOS and TSB.

Formula 1 Champcar Indycar racing   lol

Welcome aboard, bh_jordan. Glad to have you here.

Thinking about what you suggest: Le Mans has a US series, the ALMS. How about IndyCar becoming AF1?

Even better, how about replacing Bernie with Tony George!

Wouldn't that make Max feel lonely. :DntKnw:
