Bulgaria can be host of Formula 1 round
« on: December 07, 2008, 07:51:25 PM »
Bulgaria expressed desire to host a round of Formula 1 in 2011. This was announced after a meeting in Monaco of representatives of Formula 1 and the management of the Bulgarian Federation for motor sports, the Organizational committee for global and European championship in 2009, the Chairman of the State Agency for Youth and Sports Vesela Lecheva, a reporter of FOCUS News Agency informed.
Rumen Petkov, Head of the organizational committee said that one of the main priorities for our country are the talks with Moto GP and Formula 1.

Bernie was in advanced discussions to put F1 races in Freedonia, Slaboboia and Anvilania.

Then someone told him that they are all fictional.

I can't understand why they put a circuit in Pleven.  It is not the sort of place that is going to attract F1.  If they are not going to put it in the capital the obvious place is Varna on the Black Sea coast.

that one is easy SR - just follow the money mate.

Logistics etc has nothing to do with Bernie's cash cows.
