F1 finale will put me to sleep

YOU CAN WET YOUR LIFE F1 FINALE WILL PUT ME TO SLEEP
IN ASSOCIATION WITH betfair
Derek Mcgovern

IT should have all the makings of an epic duel between two of the most single-minded men in sport - but instead all they can talk about is who has the best tyres.

What a ridiculous sport Formula One is.

Locked together on 116 points with two races to go, Michael Schumacher and Fernando Alonso (right) will almost certainly take their world title battle to the wire. Organisers could not have written a better script.

But to predict the winner we must digest a topic which makes even talk of bungs appear interesting.

Before I nodded off I did glean that Alonso uses Michelin tyres which go better in the wet.

And it's likely to be very wet in Japan and Brazil, which by happy coincidence is where the last two races of the season are.

Why then is Schumacher 1-2 favourite, with Alonso available at 13-8 on Betfair?

Search me.

I've gone off cars ever since ringing the moosus while she was on the motorway and telling her there'd been a report on the radio saying that someone was driving the wrong way along the M62.

"I know," she said. "But it's not just one car. It's hundreds of them."
