I don't know where the news that Kimi and Felipe were getting the boot came from, but according to an Italian forum Luca di Montezemolo has just stated that if Ferrari do move to another series they will both be the team drivers.

Kimi is not the issue with the Ferrari results this season. He has always had the ability to win given a capable car, and a good stategy.
Remember how many times his McLaren dynamited itself when he was there, but he shone when the car worked.

The trouble with Ferrari this season , as I see it, is, a non-reliable car and no stratigist with the ability of Ross Brawn.

Does anyone doubt the talent of Ross given the Brawn GP results so far?

Wherever the source of this story, it seems to be off the mark as Ferrari are not stupid enough to lose the only real talents they have left.  ie: Kimi & Felipe.

Once again some less then informed journalist hoping to gain column inches by writing fantasy in the form of real journalism.

Shame Ross Brawn didn't apply to be team principal of Ferrari.  Just think what he could have done with their resources.

Oh wait.  He did but Luca decided he knew better.  Stupid boy.

I thought Ross didn't want to live in Italy anymore was the big problem.  Unless they could move Ferrari to England

I suggested they won't be Ferrari's F1 drivers next year.

I guess they'd still be welcome at Ferrari, but is their contract to drive F1 for Ferrari, or just to drive for Ferrari?

If Ferrari does leave, what are the obligations of the team and the drivers?  I'd expect some sort of language governing the collapse of the sport or the team.  Probably seemed like boilerplate at the time!
