Toyota confirm new testers for 2007
Friday 10 November at 08:38 : Toyota has confirmed reports that F3 driver Kamui Kobayashi will become a formula one tester in 2007.

A statement provided by the Japanese marque's 'Young Drivers' programme added that fellow F3 racer Kohei Hirate - to move into GP2 next year - will also be given the opportunity to test for the Cologne based F1 team.

"I would like to take the opportunity that has been given to me to be an F1 test driver and I hope I can contribute to creating outstanding race cars and support the team," Japan's Kobayashi, 20, said.

The Stig
