2010 season
« on: June 28, 2009, 02:05:25 PM »
I know I know its not halfway through this season but there's a lot of enjoyment in planning ahead.
I am planning going to the German GP next year but with Hockenheim pulling out that only leaves The Ring so I am assuming that it will be there again especially as both the groups running the races are under one roof now.
If anyone has any further info please let me know.
I'm aiming to add to my list of GP's visited, that could a title for another thread? :good:

I'm hoping to go to Donington/Silverstone and, if possible, add the Turkish GP to the list.

I did not go for the last couple of years, but I might go to the British GP again next year.  Do people from here meet during races if anyone goes to the same race?  I usually go alone and take a coach up on race day (damn long day) but with the change of circuit I am not sure who I went with would still go.

I have never been to a GP but I am going to make the effort to get to the British GP in 2010. If you are there Williamsfan and indeed anybody else form the GP Wiz club is planning to go, I would love to meet up with you guys.

I'm thinking that with Turkey having so many spare tickets I might combine a holiday with attending the GP next year. I'm also hoping that it will work out much cheaper than going to the British GP.

If that works out I might then try either Hungary or one of the Spanish races the next year. I've been to Silverstone on the Friday & Saturday a couple of times but have not been to an actual F1 race for over 10 years, the tickets are too damn expensive for a limited view.

You're right about the ticket costs, I am sure they are more expensive now than they were even a couple of years ago, the ticket prices for the pit straight at Silverstone seemed much more pricey than when I used to go a few years ago.

Still, I must try to go this year, I do miss the whole race day experience.  And David, yeah it would be great to meet some of the people who are becoming more familiar from this site if you and other people go and if we an all afford tickets  :good:

I tried setting up a meet-up when I went to Silverstone last year, but it didn't work out because the only reply I got was from Dare. He said no on the fairly understandable grounds that he was going to be 3000 miles away at the time.

F1 Fanatic had a somewhat more successful attempt at organising a meet-up at Silverstone, but I don't know a lot about it.

Other circuits may vary.

It is a problem getting a few people to be in the same place at the same time, I guess we can just see who gets tickets to any race and see if others go there.  Right now I feel confident I will at least try to get to the British GP in 2010, purely on the basis that I have missed going the last couple of years!
