The 40th anniversary of the first manned mission to the moon is being marked this week online.
Apollo 11 blasted off from the Kennedy Space Center on 16 July 1969 and on 20 July Neil Armstrong famously became the first man to walk on the moon.
The
We Choose The Moon website is offering surfers the chance to experience the mission in real time.
"From actual mission audio transmissions and archival video to mission factoids and news reels, visitors to WeChooseTheMoon.org will be able to track every step of the Apollo 11 mission, as it happened, 40 years later," said Tom Putnam, director of the John F Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum.
You can also hear the radio communications between ground control and Apollo 11 in real time on the Nasa website.
If you're interested the
BBC Archive also has hours of video and audio material relating to the Apollo missions.
And if you're in any doubt as to whether the landings were actually staged or not, you should read this interesting article that
debunks the moon landings hoax theory.
Enjoy!
