Alonso to marry in winter break - 16 November 2006
World champion Fernando Alonso could use the winter break to tie the knot with his fiancee, according to speculation.

It is rumoured that the 25-year-old Formula One driver, who earlier this year became engaged to Raquel del Rosario, is on the prowl for a suitable marriage location in Spain.

The magazine 'Cuore', however, published an article this week quoting Alonso's father, who is reportedly worried that the marriage could damage his son's F1 career.

Jose Luis Alonso is arguing that Fernando and Raquel's relationship 'has just started', and apparently is advising his son to remain engaged for another year.

The couple met in early 2006 during a radio show for Spanish station 'Cadena SER'.
