I am well and truly stunned!  I'll have a place of honor ready for the trophy in the glass front cabinet in my living room.

Thanks to all of you for the kind messages, and a big thanks to the Wizard for everything here. Being a hard core F1 fan in a small Appalachian town is the definition of isolation. Other than Claw_grrrl and my daughter Angie, I can only think of one or two other people I know around here who don't think that F1 and IndyCar are the same thing. It's great to have you all to talk about the sport with.

I look forward to chatting and posting with all of you over the off season. There's always plenty going on around here.

as for the Appalachian F1 fan base, i'm in northern Indiana. And i feel your pain. being 100 due east of Chicago you would think... but no, its all nastycars here, save one fellow enthusiasts. maybe its God's way of spreading us around so we can educate the unwashed to the best form of racing there is

next year - watch your mirrors!
