Although I thought he was trying to find out how much fuel was left, he was listening for the sloshing noise.  :D

Thanks for that comment about the basket David, but I think you have already mentioned that in a previous post ... :good:  What the marshalls have stated is that because Petrove did not make any attempts to overtake Hamilton, LH did NOT, therefore, break any rules.....and I can't for the life of me, find the website that confirmed that which I looked at earlier,  but, rest assured (David) that when I find it, you will be the first to read it!!!! :good:

You're right Mark Petrov did not make ant attempt to pass Lewis. He couldn't because he was weaving like a lunatic. Stupid basket.  :tease:

Of coarse if the car that made the reasonable amount of defensive moves had have been red then all would be sound.  ;)

I'm grabbing the easy chair and some popcorn..this is getting good! ::)

How about, or has anyone done this yet, a poll to see how we felt about that Hamilton maneuver?

Put me in the column that was kinda shocked he was allowed to do it without reprimand. I've not seen blocking like that since I was 14 trying to get to 2nd base.  :stop:

It will be interesting to see what comes out of the drivers discussion. Hopefully this rule will be clarified once and for all. :good:

Taken from BBC website 08.30am...

BBC Sport's Sarah Holt in Shanghai: "A number of the drivers are unhappy about some of Lewis Hamilton's  driving   during the Malaysian Grand Prix, when he appeared to 'weave' down the straight to prevent Renault's Vitaly Petrov passing him. It is expected to be discussed in the drivers' briefing later on Friday, but McLaren team principal Martin Whitmarsh has got his defence of his man in early: 'The stewards looked at this and decided not to penalise Lewis. Lewis was seeking to break the tow, not prevent an overtaking move. As always Lewis drives and races passionately, but always seeks to be entirely safe.'"

Tow?  There's no tow in F1...unless his rear wing and diffuser mysteriously fell off.  Silly boy, that Whitmarsh.   :nono:

What do you mean theres no tow in F1. I've seen quite a few drivers receiving a tow,  out of the gravel and mainly by a tractor, but it still counts as a tow!

Um... ...a black-and-white flag is a penalty. Sarah must have meant they decided not to give any further penalty, which is quite right since Lewis mended his behaviour once warned.
