Wow, all the Bahrain F1 braking information you didn't know and were too afraid to ask, in one place. A part of me wishes I was nerdy enough to read it, but alas my Friday afternoon brain is made of weaker stuff.
However, good post, it raises some interesting points. Does this heavy braking circuit provide more issues for the brake-by-wire system, and might it mean more lock-ups of the serious flat-spot kind? I also hear during FP1 that with all the heavy braking and accelerating, the energy store is getting used up within the lap, making for reduced bhp for some of the end of the lap, maybe not for all, but this could make for dramatically different lap times and closing speeds. The tables also have a 'pedal load' figure, but now it's brake-by-wire isn't that irrelevent?
And as an aside, Felipe Nasr's time was only one second quicker than his GP2 time earlier in the day.
