Franchitti Flies Again
« on: August 13, 2007, 04:19:51 PM »
When was the last time a driver in any major racing series went majorly airborne twice in two weeks? Dario Franchitti made it two for two yesterday in the IndyCar at Sparta, KY. This time it was after the race ended. Franchitti didn't realize that the race had ended and ran over the slowing car of Kosuke Matsuura.

Once again, both drivers walked away.

Matsuura is a protégé of Aguri Suzuki and drives for Super Aguri Panther Racing. Sparta is right up the road from Dare.

He must be ready to take his pilots licence surely.
An aircraft landing is just a controlled crash.

Umm... I thought it was Vittorio Brambilla who was meant to be the guy who crashed after the chequered flag. Seriously, though, Dario Franchitti is very lucky he hasn't injured himself with all these aerobatics.
